SVMIT is managed by Shri S’ad Vidya Mandal trust popularly known as SVM established in 1954 as a result of inspiration and blessings of Swami Shri Atulanandji.

FOSSEE (Free and Open Source Software for Education) Project is funded by National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, MHRD, Govt of India. The FOSSEE team works on adaptation and development of open source simulation packages equivalent to proprietary software. GTU has introduced Open Source Technology Club initiative for all the GTU affiliated colleges in collaboration with Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay to spread the concept of FOSSEE. To take the benefit of this opportunity we had established Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC) at our institute.

Our College is GTU OSTC Resource Centre for Ankleshwar-Bharuch Sankul. Our OSTC club is working to attract more faculties, non-teaching staff members and students from our college. We are very much impressed with the enthusiasm shown by all participants and also the efforts taken by supporting staff members. The objective of the mission is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool – Spoken Tutorials.

Overall Activities of the OSTC Club:
