Innovation Council (IIC) an Initiative of MHRD for selected Higher Education
Institutes. of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has
established 'MHRD's Innovation Cell (MIC)' to systematically foster the culture
of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Institution Innovation Council (IIC) an
Initiative of MHRD for selected Higher Education Institutes:
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has
established ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture
of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary
mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by
supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while
they are in formative years.
MIC has envisioned encouraging creation of
‘Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs) across selected HEIs. A network of
IICs is established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the
Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion
ecosystem in the campuses. MIC has established Institution's Innovation
Council in more than 2700 Instiutions till December 2021.

Benefits to Institute, Faculty and Students:
Institution’s Innovation Council 5.0 is started in SVMIT college for the academic year 2022-23. Various roles and responsibilities are assigned to faculty members and students of the SVMIT college. In quarter 1, two IIC meetings are conducted among the director sir, principal sir, all faculty and student coordinators of the SVMIT college as per following schedule.
