Mechanical Engineering 2009-2010 Shri(Dr.) R.G.Kapadia was invited to act as an examiner by the Registrar, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad for the Dissertation work in the subject of CAD/CAM at the M.E. (Mechanical Engineering) Examination of the said University held in June 2009 in respect of the candidate Shri Chirag Patel - Examination Seat No. 2024. The title of the Dissertation was "Modeling and Vibration Analysis of Road Profile Measuring System."

(Dr.) Kapadia was also invited to deliver an expert lecturer to M.Tech. (Mechanical) (CAD/CAM) students at the Charotar Institute of Technology,CHANGA - 388 421 (Taluka - Petlad) (District - Kheda). The subject of his lecture was, "Simulation Using EES" and was delivered on Monday the, 21st September, 2009.
2. Shri S. J. Thanki

Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering 2009-2010 Shri S. J. Thanki was invited to act as an Examiner by the Gujarat University,Ahmedabad for the Dissertation Work in the subject of CAD/CAM at the M.E. (Mechanical Engineering) Examination of the said University held in June 2009 in respect of the candidate Shri Chirag Patel- Examination Seat No. 2025. The title of the Dissertation was "Study and Implementation of Leen Manufacturing Tool Value Stream Mapping and,5s"

He was also invited to act as an Examiner by the Gujarat University,Ahmedabad for the Dissertation Work in the subject of CAD/CAM at the M.E. (Mechanical Engineering) Examination of the said University held in June 2009 in respect of the Candidate (Kum.) Jalpa Shah - Examination Seat No. 2032. The Subject of the Dissertation was, "A Practical Problem Solving approach for the Improvement of Automobile Product Qualities. A Case Study in General Motors India Limited - HALOL."

He was further invited to act as an External Referee to examine the Dissertation entitled, "Enhancing Robustness of Horizontal Centrifugal Casting Process Using Design of Experiments" submitted by Ms. Miral M. Bhatt in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Third Semester M.E. (Mechanical Machine Design) Examination of Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar.

He was also invited to deliver an Expert Lecture to M.Tech (Mechanical) (CAD/CAM) students at the Charotar Institute of Technology, CHANGA - 388 421 (Taluka - Petlad) (District - Kheda). Mechanical Engineering 2009-2010 Shri D. C. Gosai and Shri A. J. Modi had attended "International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICAME ­ 2009)" held by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat during the period 03rd August 2009 to 05th August 2009 and presented a Research Paper entitled "Expt Analysis of Performance of Thermal Barrier Coated Diesel Engine."

He had presented a Paper in the International Symposium on "Renewable Energy for Rural Development" during the period 25th February 2010 to 27th February 2010. The said Symposium was organized under the auspicious of the Department of Physics S.N. Arts, D. J. Malpani Gmmerce and B. N. Sarda Science College, Sahgamner - 422 605 (District - Ahmednagar) (Maharashtra).

Shri D. C. Gosai and Shri A. J. Modi had prepared and presented a paper entitled "Experimental Study on Thermal Barrier Coated Diesel Engine Performance with Blends of Diesel and Palm Biodiesel" at the International Power Trains Fuels and Lubricants Meeting - May 2010, at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
4. Shri Ashish J. Modi

(Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering)
Mechanical Engineering 2009-2010 He had attended the "International Conference on advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICAME - 2010)" held by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat during the period 04th January 2010 to 06th January 2010 and presented a research paper entitled "Experimental Analysis of (TBC) Diesel Engine."

He had presented a Paper in the International Symposium on "Renewable Energy for Rural Development" during the period 25th February 2010 to 2ih February 2010. The said Symposium was organized under the auspicious of the Department of Physics S.N. Arts, D. J. Malpani Gmmerce and B. N. Sarda Science College, Sahgamner - 422 60S (District - Ahmednagar) (Maharashtra).
5. (Kum.) Seemaben Sharma

(Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering)
Mechanical Engineering 2009-2010 (Kum.) Seemaben Sharma had participated and presented a Paper entitled, "Optimal Control of Planar Grasping" in 14th National conference on Machines and Mechanisms "NaCoMM-09" on 17th and 18th December, 2009 at National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India.

She had presented Paper entitled, "Optimal Control of Three-Contact Planar Manipulation" in International Conference on Signal, Systems and Automation (ICSSA - 09)" held by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, G. H. Patel College of Engineering, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand during the period 28th December, to 29th December, 2009.
6. Shri H. S. Nankani

(Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering)
Electrical Engineering 2009-2010 Shri H. S Nankani alongwith Dr. Ajay Agarwala of the Physics Department of Shri Jayendrapuri Arts and Science College, Bharuch - had presented a Research Paper on "Electrical Resistance and Thermoelectric Power Measurements in Tungsten Disulphide Crystals Under High Pressure" at the 54th DAE Solid State Physics Symposium jointly hosted by BARC Mumbai and MS University of Baroda, Vadodara during the period 14th December 2009 to 18th December 2009.
7. (Smt.) Nilamben Patel

(Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering)
Electrical Engineering 2009-2010 (Smt.) Nilamben Patel had participated in One Week National Level Short Term Training Programme on "Recent Trends in Power Electronics and its Application in Engineering", organized by the Electrical Engineering Department (NBA Accredited) at A. D. Patel Institute of Technology New Vallabh Vidyanagar during the period 06th July 2009 to 10th July 2009.

Besides (Smt.) Patel had also attended a multidisciplinary National Conference on "Emerging Vistas of Technology in 21 5t century" organized by Paml Institute of Engineering and Technology, Waghodia, Vadodara held on 11th and 12th September, 2009. She had also presented a Paper entitled, "Hybrid Fitters Applied in Poices Transmission System" at the said Conference.
8. Shri Jigarbhai H. Shah

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering 2009-2010 Shri Jigarbhai H. Shah had participated and presented a Paper entitled, "Requirements and Scope of Speech Enhancement Techniques in present Speech Communication Systems" at the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) - National Technical Paper Contest (NTPC - 2010) on Sunday the, 07th March 2010 for seniors at the Vasvik

Auditorium, Institution of Engineers (I), Near Trident, Race Course Circle Vadodara - 390007 organised by IETE - Vadodara Centre. The Paper had won the Third Prize.

He had jointly prepared Paper entitled, "C-Implementation and Comparison of Companding and Silence Audio Compression Techniques bearing paper it "IJCSI - 2010-7-2-19" which was accepted for publication in 'International Journal of Computer Science Issues' - Volume 7, Issue-2, March 10 and was scheduled to be published on 31st March, 2010. He had presented papers show against his names at the National Conference on Wireless Communication and VLSI Design (NCW CVD - 2010) held at Gwaliar Engineering College, Gwalior on 27th and 28th March 2010. Jadav had participated in the AICTE Sponsored National Level Winter School on "Teaching with MATLAB and SIMULINK" organized by the Electronics Engineering Department of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat during the period 21st December 2009 to 25th December 2009.

He had presented papers show against his names at the National Conference on Wireless Communication and VLSI Design (NCW CVD - 2010) held at Gwaliar Engineering College, Gwalior on 27th and 28th March 2010.

Trupti Manik - adhoc lecturer in the said Department had participated in the "Fourth International Conference on Quality, Reliability and Infocom Technology (ICQRIT) - Trends and Future Directions" during the period 18th December 2009 to 20th December; 2009. Besides, they had also jointly presented a Paper entitled, "Various Analysis Techniques on TIFF Image for Better Forecasting and Evaluation of Satellite Images" at the said conference.

Shri Rutvij Jhaveri alongwith (Kum.) Keya Panjwani - our student of B.E. Final year (Information Technology Branch) 2009-2010 had presented a Paper entitled "Description of Various Methods used for Wireless Energy Transfer as well as a Comparative Study Between These Methods" at the National conference on "Computing Communication Technology" organized by P. G. Studies

Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Information Science and Engineering of R. V. College of Engineering, Mysore Road, R. V. Vidyaniketan, Banglore - 560005 on 22nd and 23rd January 2010. Shri Rutvij H. Jhaveri alongwith Shri Viral V. Kapadia of B.V.M. College, Vallabh Vidyanagar and Shri Sudarshan N. Patel of A. D. Patel Institute of Technology, New Vallabh Vidyanagar had jointly presented a Paper entitled, "Comparative study of Hidden Node-Problem and Solution using Different Techniques publication in the "Journal of Computing - U.S.A. Volume-2, Issue­3 - 19th March, 2010.

Computer Engineering and Information Technology 2009-2010 (Smt.) Payalben N. Raj alongwith Shri Prashant B. Swadas of Computer Engineering Department, B.V.M. Anand had presented a Paper entitled, "DPRAODV : A Dynamic Learning System Against Black hole Attack in AODV Based Manet" which was published in the International Journal of Computer Science Issues - Volume-2 August 2009 - Pages 54-59. The said Journal is published from Karan Lane, Mahebourg - Republic of Mauritius.

Trupti Manik and Shri Viral Kapadia - Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering - B.V.M. Engineering College - Vallabh Vidyanagar at the "National Conference on Advance Computing - 2009" held at G.H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology - Vallabh Vidyanagar on 12th and 13th December 2009.

Shri (Dr.) S. S. Patel and Shri Rajesh A. Jadav had jointly presented a Research Paper entitled, "Application of Singular Value Decomposition in Image Processing" which was published in the Indian Journal of Science and Technology, Vol 3 No. 2 (Feb. 2010) (Pages 148-150), Chennai.

Engineering Physics 2009-2010 (Smt.) Niraliben Gondaliya - Lecturer in Engineering Physics had submitted a Paper entitled "Conductivity Studies in Irradiated and Unirradiated Ag I - Ag20- V2 Os - Te O2 Super - ionic Glass System - A Comparative Study" which was accepted for presentation at the 18th National Symposium on Radiation Physics (NSRP - 18) organized by the Department of Physics, University College of science, M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur - 313 001 (Rajasthan) during the period 19th November 2009 to 21 st November 2009. She had prepared this Paper along with four Co-authors viz, Poonam Sharma, D. K. Kanchan, Meenakshi Pant and Shri K. P. Singh.

She had participated in the "ACQUAINTANCE PROGRAMME ON ACCELERATOR BASED RESEARCH" held on 23rd October 2009. The said programme was organized by the Department of Physics, Moliancal Sukhadia University, Udaipur - 313 001. (Rajasthan)

She had presented a Paper entitled, "Conductivity Studies in irradiated and unirridiated - AgI - Ag20 - V209 - Te O2 Super ionic Glass System. A Comparative Study" at the 18th National Symposium on Radiation Physics, (NSRP 18) organized by the Department of Physics, M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur - 313 001 (Rajasthan) during the period 19th November 2009 to 21st November 2009.

Besides, she had also participated in the 18th National Symposium on Radiation Physics (NSRP - 18) organized by the Department of Physics, M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur - 313 001 (Rajasthan) during the period 19th November 2009 to 21st November 2009.

(a) (Smt.) Niraliben Gondaliya had actively participated and presented her work at the International Conference on Electronics held at the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi during the period 13th December 2009 to 17th December 2009.

(b) Earlier, she had also participated in the Eighth National Conference on "Solid State lonics - Materials for Novel Devices" organized by the Department of Physics - Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, (Central University), Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) during the period 07th December 2009 to 09th December 2009. The said conference was sponsored by DST, CSIR, DRDO, BRNS and MNRE. (Smt.) Gondaliya actively to.ok part in all the deliberation which contributed much to the success of the Conference.

(c) Besides, (Smt.) Gondaliya had also participated earlier in the "Workshop on Nanostrucured Materials (WNM-09) organized by the Department of Physics, Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur on 14th October 2009.

Engineering Chemistry 2009-2010 (Kum.) (Dr.) Parulben Patel - Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Chemistry had published the Paper in International Journal of Malaysian Polymer Journal. Title of Paper: "Studies on Synthesis, Viscosity, Infrared Spectra and Thermogravimetric analysis of Polyesters Containing s-triazine ring in the main chain" which was published in the International Journal of Malaysian Polymer Journal - Volume-5, No.1, Page No. 55-67, March-20IO. The said Journal is published from Malaysia.
