Started in the year 1996, the graduate course in Electrical Engineering encompasses the various aspects of electrical fields such as Power System, Power Electronics, Control System, Power System Protection, High Voltage Studies, Microprocessor Application and Computer Application to Power System Studies.
Faculty members of the department are active in several research areas, such as; Renewable energy sources, Power quality, Transformer, Internet of Things “IOT”, Energy Management and Distribution System, Programmable Logic Controller “PLC”, Power Electronics Converters and Electric Drives.
The Department undertakes a continuous process of setting up experimental and computational facilities for taking up research & development. The department organizes industrial visits for the students with academic background to have a glimpse of the industry in order to have a better appreciation of practical applications of theory.
The mission of the Electrical Engineering Department is to provide a quality electrical engineering education with extensive hands-on and practical experience as per need of industrial demand that will enable our graduates to practice their profession with proficiency and integrity.
